The relief of Nisporeni district is characterized by very specific morpho- structure and morpho-sculpture, as well as by a number of peculiarities of the current dynamism of the exogenous processes of relief formation.
All this is explained by the very nature of the formation of the terrestrial surface that under certain tectonic conditions predetermined by the settlement of the territory of the county within the limits of the Central Moldovian Plateau. In the western part of the Codrilor is situated a highest hill in the country, "Bălăneşti Hill" 19 km away from the Nisporeni district. The height of this hill is 429.5 m and represents the maximum altitude in rep. Moldova.
Depending on the altitude, the contemporary relief of the district is one of the first-highest level, which includes relief with altitudes above 250 m and includes plateaus and hills.
In the areas of Nisporeni, archaeologists have found traces of ancient settlements. One of which is, a village, founded around 1300 BC. Another settlement was founded around 1100 BC. Scientists also discovered household articles, ceramic fragments Belonging to the Bronze Age and the early Iron Age.
