Ialoveni district is located in a plain area (Central Moldovian Plateau). The climate has a shift from the Western Europe's maritime climate to the temperate-continental climate of Eastern Europe. The summer is warm and long, with the average temperature in July + 22 ° C, the winter is mild, with the average temperature in January - 7 ° C. Two rivers of national importance - Botna and Işnovăţ flow into the territory of the district. There are also more than one hundred aquatic basins certified, half of them being fished
There are 37 educational institutions in the rayon. According to the 2008 data, pre-university education included 13,659 children, the pre-school - 3,500 young children. The educational process was guided by 1270 teachers. Within the cultural area, 61 institutions are active, among them: the Regional House of Culture, 23 houses and cultural homes, 35 public libraries, 2 artistic education institutions, 1 rayon museum and 4 public museums.
In 1817 in the village of Ialoveni there were 125 farmsteads. By the end of the XIX century, there were 424 families in the village of Ialoveni, who were engaged in farming and raising livestock. In 1930, 3650 people lived in Ialoveni.
